The Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology has been established to impart training to veterinary undergraduate students in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology as per VCI norms. It provides knowledge to B.V.Sc. & A.H. students in General and Systemic Pharmacology, Neuropharmacology, Chemotherapy, and Toxicology. The Department is fully equipped and competent to provide practical knowledge to students of B.V.Sc. & A.H. in terms of pharmacological and toxicological aspects.
Facilities Available
The Department is having a well-equipped (i) Experimental Pharmacology Laboratory and (ii) Pharmacology & Toxicology Laboratory. Laboratories are having all essential glassware and pieces of equipment required for teaching and research purposes viz. Tissue bath, Kymograph, Binocular microscope, Spectrophotometer, Electronic stimulator, Centrifuge, Water bath, Digital pH meter, Observation cages for rats and mice, etc.
